We boast over 300 days a year of sunshine.  However, weather changes rapidly at higher altitudes and it is important to be prepared for anything, especially when traveling in the back country.  Dress in layers.

Open Spaces:  There are 770 square miles of public lands in Conejos River Country.

Fishing: There are hundreds of miles of un-posted rivers and streams with 18 miles of Quality Water.  There are dozens of high country lakes that produce excellent fishing.  Platoro Reservoir is the highest man-made reservoir in the US.
